Host of Top Riders to Appear
and International Motorcycle and Scooter Show

The 2006 International Motorcycle and
Scooter Show will be a star studded occasion, with many of the world’s
top racers including, Colin Edwards, Carl Fogarty, James Toseland,
Leon Haslam and Ryuichi Kiyonari attending the Show at the Birmingham
NEC. Taking place from Oct 27th to Nov 5th, visitors to the Show will
be able rub shoulders with a host of their biking heroes throughout
the week. Fresh from the season finale, Yamaha MotoGP rider Colin
Edwards will be attending the Show on Monday 30th October. Fans will
be able to say hello and get his autograph during his signing session
on the Yamaha stand and he will be taking part in a ‘Question of
Bikes’ quiz on the Blackhorse Stage in the Arai Race Paddock.
Other big names in attendance will be the 2006 season’s top two World
Superbike riders Troy Bayliss and James Toseland. Toseland will be
visiting the Show to check out the new bikes and meet fans on Friday
3rd and Saturday 4th November while Rizla Suzuki’s new British
Superbike rider for 2007, Cal Crutchlow, will be on–site from Friday
27th to Sunday 29th October. Flying the flag for MotoGP and fresh from
the final race of the season in Valencia , Honda’s Marco Melandri will
be attending and chances are high that more MotoGP riders are set to
be confirmed over the coming days. Ex-MotoGP rider and Eurosport
commentator Randy Mamola will be taking in the Show atmosphere on
Thursday 2nd November and Friday 3rd November.
British Superbike will be well represented with Champion Ryuichi
Kiyonari taking to the Blackhorse Stage to pick up his alongside
runners up Leon Haslam and Gregorio Lavilla at the Bennetts British
Superbike Awards on Wednesday 1st November. Four times World Superbike
Champion, Carl Fogarty will be signing copies of his DVD on the BMW
stand on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd November.
Tickets for the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show are now on
sale and the public can take advantage of the fantastic advance prices
for both adult (£13) and family tickets (£30). All other tickets are
also available in advance either by booking online at
www.motorcycleshow.co.uk or over the phone on 0870 352 2006. Standard
ticket prices are £15 for adults, £13 for students, £5 for senior
citizens and children between eleven and sixteen, and £35 for a family
ticket. Children under the age of eleven are admitted for free.
