It's a busy weekend ahead for Hawk Kawasaki, 19th
and 20th August. 36-year-old Carl Rennie will be making his debut
appearance at the Ulster GP. The Lancashire based rider will be
competing in tomorrow's races with an injury after ripping ligaments
in his arm during the Dundrod 150 races yesterday, 17th August.
Rennie who gained some fantastic results for Hawk Kawasaki at the TT
plus finishing a strong sixth place at Monaghon last weekend on his
first outing there is keen to gain some more positive results tomorrow
at the Ulster. Rennie has managed to qualify as best Newcomer for
tomorrow's race in 10th position on the Superbike Grid behind the
factory Suzuki's of Bruce Anstey and Ryan Farquhar, and also a very
strong sixth place for the Supersport Race.
The 7.5-mile circuit is one of, if not he fastest circuit in Europe
and Rennie will be competing in the Superstock, Supersport and
Superbike Race. He will be riding the 2004 Kawasaki ZX10-R in the
Superbike and Superstock race, the same bike that John McGuinness rode
to second place at the Ulster GP in 04. He will also use the ZX-6 in
the Supersport race, which Ian Hutchinson won the 'Cock of the North'
race on at Scarborough this year.
Whilst Carl is battling it out in Ireland, British Superbike Rider
Craig Coxhell has been set another challenge. Members of the Hawk
Kawasaki Team will be heading to Anglesey tomorrow to RAF Valley to
have a head-to-head with their Hawk Jets.
