Preparations and weekend off!

Sunday, 29 March 2009

Hi all,

Just a quick update on how things have been progressing over the last couple of weeks.

We got loads of good data from the test and we have been hard at work putting what we have learnt into improving the bikes, time is getting short now and everyone is looking forward to the start of the season. The bikes are just about there and by the end of the week all the remaining engines will be built and ready for the first round.

We are hoping to squeeze in a quick shakedown test later in the week and I'll keep you posted as to what is happening.

Its been good to get a weekend off for everyone to clear there heads before the final push, I cant say it has been too relaxing though as we all enjoy getting out and keeping busy. PJ was off enduro riding yesterday, I wussed out though as I had entered the Middlesbrough 5k running race today, my first ever. I havent ran a running race since school sports day so you can tell it was a while ago! I'm not the best runner but I did ok, about 25min, despite setting off too far back and having to weave my way through people for the first kilometer.

Well just going to have some dinner and watch the MotoGP qual session then PJ and I are off to Bedford for the BSB launch day tomorrow. I'm meeting up with James Ellison tonight, I've been winding him up about not having a bike yet, I'm not sure if he will have one for the launch or it will be a cardboard cut out! Needless to say he has been giving me enough stick in return!

Not long now, can't wait!!

Good day for the lauch, looking forward to seeing nice blue skys in the pictures. The one thing I was looking forward too over the weekend was seeing the F1 season start then the MotoGP, but the good old bbc posted the times wrong on the website and I missed the bikes so gutted, JB's result was a good-one. Really looking forward to the BSB season to start now - bring-it-on!

Good luck for the season. I wouldnt worry about Mr Ellison, by the time he's got his hair gel and make up on Karl and Stuart will be on their second lap
